Invitation to a Morning Coffee

Following the Blog announcement this past Friday regarding the retirement of Mrs. Schofield and the changes in teaching assignments in Kindergarten, Pre-K and 2nd grade, we would like to invite parents from the Owlet, Hoot Owl, and First and Second Grade classes to an information coffee on Friday, May 25th to outline the transition process and the search for a new Hoot Owl teacher. On hand for this coffee will be Mrs. Schofield, Mrs. Prizeman and Mrs. Catanzarite to share with you the collaborative work that is being done and to answer any questions that you may have.

The coffee will take place right after Flag in the library.

Don’t miss this opportunity to hear firsthand from our outstanding teachers why Saklan education is truly one of a kind. First, Ms. O will discuss the importance of Global Education, what it looks like at Saklan and what she learned by going to Senegal. Then, Ms.Kim will review what the Curriculum Committee learned about Saklan’s reading program and present the recommendations for next year and beyond. Together, the approach and programs give our students the “Saklan Academic Edge.” Come join us!
